Bam Architects Moving To New Century City Offices
Celebrated architectural firm, Bam Architects, is set to relocate to Century City, where the firm has bought a stunning two-storey freestanding office block. The eye-catching building, which forms part of the Manhattan mixed-use precinct, simply demands to be noticed as it is now nearing completion.
Principle architect, Chris Bam, says they had been residing in their current premises in The Palms Centre in Woodstock for 16 years, and it was definitely time for a change. According to Bam, Century City is extremely well located, and it is a good location for their clients. He also went on to praise the Rabie Group for what they’ve achieved at Century City, calling it a delightful precinct that offers a great lifestyle, with every conceivable amenity right on the doorstep of businesses and residents in the area.
The office block, comprising a total of 374sqm, is set to overlook the largest public park in Century City. Bam went on to state that their offices are within walking distance of the Grand Canal, which is exciting for both him and his staff, as a number of them are keen canoeists. Another reason for the move is the fact that they’ve been renting their offices in Woodstock, and now had the opportunity of owning their own premises in the heart of the highly sought after Century City.
Bam Architects’ Century City Legacy
Bam Architects have designed a number of buildings at Century City, including The Quays mixed-use development as well as the Virgin Active. Their latest development within the precinct is The Terraces, a residential complex which is currently under construction, with the entire development of 144 units having been sold to an investment company.
The Manhattan precinct comprises of Manhattan Towers, a 15-storey block of 82 apartments set over a ground floor commercial component, which includes a restaurant and conference facilities, and Manhattan Wharf-side, a strip of single and double-storey apartments fronting into the grand canal.
A celebrated addition to the precinct is the mixed-use Manhattan Quarter, comprising of 63 apartments overlooking the Grand Canal, as well as offices, including those of Bam Architects, a restaurant, large park and a crèche. Century City really does pull off the work life balance, and only continues to drive premium office rentals in the area.
